Octocon, the National Irish Science Fiction Convention, is a weekend celebration of our favourite stories from books, comics, TV, films and games; from science fiction, fantasy, horror and beyond; attracting artists, writers, film-makers and fans from across the human sphere of influence.

Octocon is Heading to The Maldron Hotel and Online!
We’ll be in the Maldron Hotel, Tallaght, Dublin for our in-person Octocon on Saturday 11th October from about 10am until late (yes, there will be an evening social event).We’ll also be running online on both Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th, including streaming live from Dublin on Saturday.

In-person Programme
- Friday: Opening Ceremony (online only) at 19:00 followed by an informal social in the bar/lobby
- Saturday: from 10:00 until 18:00
- Saturday night social: The Return of the Octocon Table Quiz from 20:00
- Sunday: online only, including the Closing Ceremony at 18:45
Online Programme
- Friday: Opening Ceremony (online only) at 19:00 followed by a social Zoom hangout
- Saturday: 10:00 – 20:00, including programme streamed from the Maldron Hotel
- Saturday night social: 21:00 – late
- Sunday: 10:00 – 18:45 (Closing Ceremony begins at 18:45)
