We’re planning to run a panel-slash-gameshow at Octocon this year where panellists have to guess the identity of a book based only on a brief description – similar to the way some bookshops offer ‘a blind date with a book’ where the book’s wrapped in plain paper with some clues to the subject and themes and genre on the cover.
So give us a book title, author, and 6-25 words to describe the plot and/or characters! Humour is very much appreciated and you don’t need to write in full sentences.
But please try not to be so obscure with your choice or your description that no one will get it – we don’t want to entirely discourage our panellists. And make it a science fiction, fantasy or horror book, please!
For example:
The Lord of the Rings: a very long walk with not enough second breakfasts
