Octocon 2025 Programme
Octocon’s programme will once again be taking place both in Dublin and online, with programme streamed from Dublin as well as online-only. As well as all our usual panel discussions, workshops, talks and readings, we’ll also be giving you the chance to join in hosted chats with other fans on specific topics, or sit down in a small group to talk to one of our attending creators.
What’s On at Octocon
- Cosplay Parade: Will be taking place on Saturday afternoon – you still have time to get your costumes ready to show off! (in-person)
- Saturday Night Social: Once again we’re having a Table Quiz in person on Saturday evening, and we haven’t forgotten about our online attendees – we’ll have a Saturday evening online social too.
- Opening/closing ceremonies: We’re planning to have our opening and closing ceremonies online so as not to take up programming time on Saturday.
- Craft sessions: Our ever popular workshop teaching you how to crochet your very own member of the Octo collective will be online this year, but we also plan to have crafty sessions in-person, including a book-binding workshop from last year’s Guest of Honour Ruth Frances Long.
- And we’ll also be having all our regular panel discussions, talks and workshops, plus you’ll have to chat with our guests in our Meet the Creator sessions!
